Peter sends all sorts of good stuff to his list of friends but this one bears repeating. Enjoy.

Twitter: Dead again
Twitter has apparently barred reporter Guy Adams for offending an Olympics corporate sponsor (NBC). He published an NBC email address in a Tweet and NBC complained. Another example of Olympic corporate bullying? Censorship?
For me, it’s sad enough that Twitter is involved with the Olympics at all. Time to cancel my account again. Never used it much anyway.
[UPDATE] Predictably, NBC and Twitter have withered under public scorn, NBC withdrawing its snivelling whine and Twitter using this fig leaf to cover its own sycophantic urges. Guy Adams has had his Twitter account reinstated. I shall remain Twitter free.
Three Danica shots from Butchart Gardens
The first one shows the Victoria Symphony Orchestra playing on a chilly summer’s eve. The next two are self explanatory.
Real time lunch at Lazy Daisy
Man, is Steve Jobs ever dead.
The new Mac commercials are so lame, Jobs would never have let them air. If you want to see how badly Apple has stumbled, here’s a link.
[Upside: Maybe there’s hope for RIM, after all.]
Edamame humour for Danica
Stick around at least until you hear about Olivia’s Edamame Blues, but I bet you stay for more.
Highlights from Friday night Beaches StreetFest
The streetfest is my favourite part of the Beaches International Jazz Festival and two acts stood out for me last night… The Sultans of String (bought a CD) and Suzana d’Amour (great voice, performer and figure). There was a lot of talent on the street last night, all of it good. BIG crowd!
Police were out in greater numbers than last year but caused no trouble. (Remembering G20)

Cat Wisdom: Don't give up… lose interest.
Headline courtesy of an email from Karen Bell. Definitely a keeper.
All Colombo covers so far
Brian suggested that I put all of my covers for John and Ruth Colombo in one place. Flip through the set by clicking the right and left sides of the images (to go back and forth).
Hey! Most adults can write code!
Danica discovered this fact today, when she delivered a handwritten birthday card to a Grade 5 student. Although Danica’s writing is beautifully legible, the birthday kid was unable to decipher the message.
