They’ve only gotten worse with the advent of terrorist hysteria, to the point where I just prefer to avoid them.
Seth Godin has created a nice little list of what needs to be fixed. He’s talking about the U.S. experience, but the same observations apply to our sad situation.

I’m still astonished by the magic of air travel and will put up with massive stupidity just to go for a ride.
Being sealed up in a metal tube and hurtled to another continent in a matter of hours IS magic, I agree. I hope that airport authorities will one day return to us the pleasure of being treated like customers, not the enemy. I don’t know why airports have to be so bad. Is management accountable to anybody?
