Spring cleaning turns up a reminder

The iMac deserves maintenance, now that Spring is here. Time to archive and free up some hard drive space. But first …
Many years before she became a grown-up mother, my niece Stephanie was able to perform this entire piece by memory. Her kids are too young to get the humour, but maybe she’ll perform it for them when they are older.

  1. I hope people don’t think that’s Steph with the big glasses and mustache! Seemed like such unrealistic events way back then but nowadays they are such a reality! Not sure that tune would ever sell today. Where did you guys originally find it?

  2. We looked for that picture of Steph wrapped up in her polar bear quilt, but Donna’s computer froze and we couldn’t find the shot. So I put Weird Al in there because he produced the song. I think we first heard it on the radio.
    Yeah, you’re right, Anna. The joke was from more innocent times, before the headlines filled with school shooting stories. It’s still pretty funny, if you take it in the context of it’s day.
