Today's chilly walk to Measurement Park

There’s a bit of green space trapped between a road and a parking lot near Kingston Road and Queen Street East. It’s full of blue posts and today my curiosity got the better of me. Dedicated to the memory of one Marco Muzzo, a developer of the residences and parklands that replaced the old Greenwood Racetrack, the mini-park is said to “act as an invitation to step into the park, measure yourself and provide a point of reference marking the coffee trees’ growth over time.”
Coffee trees? I’ll have to take a closer look next visit. As you see, I thought to measure the height of the CN Tower, but we are expected actually to measure ourselves. There are a generous number of nine foot posts with measuring markings, probably to accommodate many people at the same time. The day was chilly, so the crowd of measurers was pretty thin, but I’ll check it out again some warm, sunny day.
