For the past 5 years or so, I have walked by the distinctive building(s), wondering what went on inside. I’m glad I found out today. The primary building, the first one purchased, is an architect’s office, as might be expected.

Everything else was unexpected, and a pleasant surprise.

There are 3 buildings, purchased and completely transformed, one after the other.
The first white building is the architect’s office, with a spacious, high-ceiling meeting space in the front section. That space is flexibly designed, to be easily transformed for various uses and events. A clean-lined kitchen installation showcases clever, stylish built-ins perfect for today’s condo needs. The firm also designs furnishings and lighting fixtures.
One key design principle is exploitation of natural light. The interior glows, thanks to ingeniously placed windows, shaped for maximum effect. Although busy Woodbine Avenue is right outside, the building feels quiet and rather serene inside.
Could I live in such a pristine environment? No, it’s too sterile for my tastes and I think I’d be constantly cleaning up and putting away. I don’t have ( or want) the discipline to live up to the demands, but it’s sure nice space to visit.
The other two buildings? The black one in the middle is rented out as a yoga studio … a pop-up business on trial for a few months, while operators see if they have a viable business. A previous occupant tried selling high end skateboards but quickly went bankrupt.
The southernmost white building isn’t quite finished inside, but it will be very nice living quarters for some lucky residence with a serious neat streak. The natural light inside looks very pleasant and soothing.
