Ending Toronto's Chicago complex

Here’s an article that appeals to me. its conclusion: “Let’s shut down the Chicago love-in and be proud of who we are.”
Exactly, but not so proud that we ignore our need to keep improving our waterfront, our transit system, our public spaces and our architecture. We are just beginning to express our potential.

  1. We should take good ideas wherever we find them and if they are applicable to our city, use them. Our waterfront is improving, in spite of mistakes we’ve made in the past. Those mistakes will remain in place for decades, but we don’t have to give up on our lakefront. There are still some good bits.
