Another sunny day, another walk

Today, Donna and I made a first visit to a restaurant on Eastern Avenue. Deborah joined us. Having been to the Le Papillon on the Park before, she knew the French Onion soup would be a good choice.

I hit a winner on the brunch menu: Oeufs Florentine with frites. Very good! Donna tried a Fricassé Sauvage crêpe and was a little disappointed. Nice crêpe and all that, but the filling was a little long on roasted veggies and a little short on goat cheese. When the waiter brought extra goat cheese, all was well.

We split mussels in tomato sauce and an emmental cheese raclette appetizer…oh, and an order of those delicious frites, too.

Le verdict? We’ll be going back, and probably often. It’s a nice place with friendly service, reasonable prices and a good menu. Although it’s a bit oddly located on a rather industrial road, it is on a park and close to Ashbridge’s Bay (Lake Ontario). It’s also within walking distance for us, but it’s easily accessible by car and parking is free.
