I was not much of a Rossi fan until this past week. I did like his idea about voter recall. That one idea alone sets him apart from the rest of the candidates. I’ll be keeping a close eye on Rossi moving forward. He may actually be a viable option, because Ford and Smitherman would both be disasters for the city.

Thanks for your message, Carolyn. Quite a few people continue to search Jay’s name and arrive at my blog, but not many leave a comment. Jay’s VW collection continued to grow over the years but I’m not sure what became of it after he died.

I dated Jay in our Beaches days in the ’80′s and was driving through Prince Edward County listening to Murray McLaughlin singing Child’s Song. I knew a lot of his background but not that he was drummer on three of the tracks. I knew him for his little house at the bottom of Leuty and for his VW collection! Sorry he’s gone but glad to hear he had a good time with his antiques.
